WinBowl 2.5
WinBowl is a fun, user-interactive bowling game for Windows 
3.1. Up to four players can play at one time with any 
combination of human or computer players. Each player can 
play at one of three different skill levels. Scoring is 
based on the traditional 10-pin scoring system. A practice 
mode is also included to practice specific pin setups. 

Other game features:
-3D game interface (single view)
-256 color graphics

-Registration good for ALL future versions

New this version:
-larger graphic (640x480) and optional scaling for different 
 view sizes
-resizable scorecard (can be hidden and shown with a button
 click on the status bar)
-status bar with current player scorecard and message window
-Main Menu window for full screen mode (activate with
 the right mouse button or the status bar button)
-Throw evaluator window (activate under the Help menu)
 showing power, spin and push/pull of each throw
-Printing of the scorecard after a game or series (limited 
 to 5 print-outs in shareware version)
-Hall of Fame with top 10 all time scores and series,
 plus all 300 games (registered version only)
-Player definitions now include ball color preference
-More stats kept including Winning percentage, Strike
 percentage, and Spare pick-up percentage (registered
 version only)
-More persistency built in - meaning that the game saves
 more information and starts up again more or less the way
 you left it, such as window positions, players selected,
 etc.

These individual files should be in the WINBOWL.ZIP:

After running the INSTALL.EXE, the following files should have
been installed into the directory you chose:
winbwl25.exe - The WinBowl 2.5 executable
winbwl25.dat - Data needed by WinBowl
winbwl25.hlp - The WinBowl 2.5 help file
orderfrm.wri - Order form for registering WinBowl


For sound support, WinBowl 2.5 uses the WaveMix.DLL put out by
Microsoft. If it wasn't already detected on your system, the 
WinBowl installer placed the following files into WINDOWS and 
WINDOWS\SYSTEM directories:

C:\WINDOWS\wavemix.ini - the initialization file for wavemix
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\wavemix.dll - the wavemix sound mixer

NOTE: If a different version of wavemix was found on your system,
these files were copied to the WinBowl directory since earlier 
versions of wavemix.dll are not compatible with WinBowl.

LISCENSE AGREEMENT
This software is free of charge for a full 30 day trial period.
If you decide to continue to use it after that point, you are
strongly encouraged to register it. In order for the shareware
concept to work and provide good software at reasonable prices,
you need to support the programs you use. WinBowl registration
is only $15 and is good for ALL future versions (just download
new version and enter your registration code).

The registered version offers these extra advantages:
-Player definitions may be saved
-Stats for all players are kept automatically
-Hall of Fame data kept and displayed
-Games may be saved and resumed.
-Unlimited printing of Scorecard
-No nag screen at the end of a session

The software is provided AS IS, with NO IMPLIED WARRANTY of any
kind.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Windows 3.1, 386+ CPU, and a mouse are required.
256 color video and Sound Card are strongly recommended.
